Confined Space Training Melbourne

In this course you will learn the skills to enter confined spaces, for maintenance, servicing of vessels or other necessary reasons. You will also learn skills to understand permits and their limitations for confined space as well as the observer role for permits requiring a safety

This course will teach you the skills to:

Plan and prepare for working in confined spaces

  • Obtain and confirm authorisation (entry permit),
  • Implement signage and barrier requirements,
  • Select tools and equipment,
  • Apply safety standards and work procedures

Work in confined spaces –

  • Ensure atmospheric testing,
  • Apply tagging and lock-out procedures,
  • Comply with entry permit requirements,
  • Maintain communication with the stand-by person

Exit confined spaces

  • Recover tools, equipment and materials
  • Conduct inspection of the confined space
  • Remove tagging and lock-out
  • Complete confined space entry permit

Clean up

  • Clear work area
  • Clean, check, maintain and store tools and equipment
  • Remove, clean and store barriers and signs
