Knowing how to administer first aid is an important skill set that can help in various dangerous situations that you might encounter both at work and in your personal life. The MultiSkills first aid course is designed to teach you how to respond in these types of situations. By undertaking this training you’ll learn the practical skills required when providing first aid in an emergency situation, including helping with life support and giving medical assistance, contacting emergency response authorities to alert them to the details of an incident, and administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The CPR learning aspect of the first aid certificate you will be undertaking will ensure that students who have completed this course are able to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. The content strictly adheres to the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
This 1 day course will teach you the skills to:
- Respond in an emergency situation
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
- Evaluate your own performance
Participants who complete the MultiSkills first aid course will be assessed through written activities, verbal questions, observation and practical demonstration. Upon successful completion, you will receive a nationally accredited Level 2 First Aid certificate.
