Roller Operator Course - MultiSkills Training

The Roller is commonly used on building and civil construction sites. This Roller Operator Course covers the skills and knowledge required to operate a roller to compact material.

MultiSkills Training will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct roller operations in the civil construction industry. The roller course includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating a roller; relocating the roller; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

This road roller driving training course will teach you the skills to

  • Understand roller types and characteristics
  • Understand roller capabilities and characteristics
  • Understand basic principles of soils
  • Calculate safe working loads
  • Interpret drawings and sketches
  • Apply site and equipment safety requirements
  • Carry out basic earthworks calculations

Get qualified with MultiSkills

Once participants have completed their 3 day conduct roller operations course at either our Geelong or Werribee locations, they’ll be assessed through various written activities, verbal questions, observation and practical demonstration by our experienced trainers and assessors. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally accredited statement of attainment and an operators card.

Eligibility

  • As MultiSkills Training is not CRICOS approved we are unable to enrol any students that are on a student VISA, if you are on a student VISA you will need to go to a TAFE or RTO that is CRICOS approved.
